Saving photos to your Photos library, the on-device check that marks unconfirmed values as Suggested, and the Data sources page arrive with Botilo 1.2; earlier versions do not include them.

Before troubleshooting

Open My cellar → Backup → Save a copy, and save it somewhere private outside the app.

iCloud sync

My cellar → Backup shows whether this device can access iCloud. If it is unavailable, your local cellar remains usable and changes wait on this device.

Camera or photos

On your iPhone, open Settings → Apps → Botilo to review camera and Photos access. The photo picker shares only the photos you select. Allowing Botilo to add photos lets it save the photos you take in Botilo to your library; it cannot read your library.

Purchases and registrations

Open My cellar → Botilo Plus to view your balance, restore purchases or manage your subscription. Use the same App Store account as the original purchase. If a purchase is pending, wait for Apple’s approval, then refresh the balance. Retrying an interrupted photo retrieves the same result when available.

Restore problems

Botilo validates a backup before replacing anything and creates a recovery backup first. Keep both files until you have checked the restored cellar.

Include with a report

Share the app version and build shown in My cellar, your iOS version, the action you took, and what happened. Avoid attaching private photos or a full backup unless needed.

Wine reference data

Botilo's offline wine reference (grape varieties, regions and appellations available without a network connection) combines data from Wikidata (CC0), the European Union's eAmbrosia geographical indications register (© European Union, CC BY 4.0), Geographical Indications of Australia (© Wine Australia, CC BY 4.0), the U.S. TTB list of established American Viticultural Areas (public domain), and the Japan National Tax Agency's list of geographical indications for alcoholic beverages (国税庁「酒類の地理的表示一覧」, Public Data License 1.0). Data from the licensed sources has been filtered and reformatted for offline use in the app. Retrieved September 27–28, 2026.
